Mario Schlaechter is a tax advisor and partner at PwC Austria and has headed the Financial Services – Insurance practice within the Tax Advisory division since 2020. He studied economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and combines expertise in tax advisory with many years of experience in auditing.
Mario Schlaechter is a certified expert in financial criminal law and a Tax Compliance Manager, as well as a member of the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors. He focuses on national and international corporate tax and structuring services in the financial services sector, with a particular emphasis on tax risk identification, prevention, and resolution. His clients include financial institutions (primarily insurance companies) and large corporate groups.
