Thomas Strobach has many years of experience in the Financial Services and Banking industries. A business graduate (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and certified tax advisor, he has been with PwC since 1992. As a Partner, he is the Financial Services Tax leader and is responsible for providing tax advice to banks and insurance companies. His areas of specialisation include tax issues in the area of structured products and withholding taxes.

As an expert in tax law, he provides support to well-known Austrian and international clients. In addition to advising on Austrian taxes on income from capital, EU and US withholding taxes, and German investment income taxation, he speaks on various tax law topics in the area of Financial Services.

As a member of the expert committee of the Austrian Chamber of Tax Advisors and Public Accountants (KSW), Thomas is actively involved in the Taxation of Capital Income working group and, as a member of the Institute of Austrian Auditors (IWP), is involved in the Investment Funds working group, as well as heading the FATCA/CRS working group.
